What is Diamond Art ?
Diamond Art (also known as diamond painting) is a creative, relaxing activity similar to paint-by-numbers or cross-stitch. Instead of paint or thread, you use an applicator pen to apply tiny, sparkling resin "diamonds" to an adhesive coded surface to create a shimmering mosaic piece.
Do I need any previous artistic experience to do this ?
Not at all! Diamond art is designed to be accessible for everyone. The templates are clearly marked with numbers or symbols, so you simply match the diamond color to the corresponding spot on the canvas. It is a stress-free way to create art without needing technical skills.
How long does a project take to complete ?
It depends on the size of the item. Smaller projects like our bookmarks, magnets, and keychains can often be completed in a single sitting. Larger canvases (like our 5x7 inch designs) may take a few sessions to complete, allowing you to enjoy the activity over time.
What exactly is included in a Kandeely Kit ?
Our kits are all-inclusive, meaning you don't need to buy any extra supplies. Each kit contains:
- The design template (canvas, magnet, etc.)
- All the necessary Diamond gems
- An Applicator pen
- A Tray for holding your diamonds
- Wax for the pen tip
- An Instruction card to guide you
Do I need glue or special adhesive ?
No. The canvas or item itself comes with a pre-applied adhesive layer that is covered by a protective film. When you peel back the film, the surface is sticky enough to hold the diamonds firmly in place.
What is the recommended age for these kits ?
Our kits are generally suitable for older children (ages 8 and up), teenagers, and adults. The process requires some focus and fine motor skills, making it a great activity for these age groups.
Are there any safety concerns I should be aware of ?
Yes. Please be aware that the kits contain small parts (the diamond gems) which present a choking hazard. These products are not suitable for children under 3 years old. Please supervise younger children if they are nearby while you are crafting.
What size are the canvas designs ?
Our standard canvas designs, such as the "Alhamdulillah" calligraphy or the "Dome of the Rock," typically measure 5x7 inches. This size is perfect for framing and displaying on a desk, shelf, or wall without taking up too much space.
Will the colors look exactly like the photos on the website ?
We do our best to represent our designs accurately; however, kindly note that colors may vary slightly from the digital images displayed on your screen to the physical product.
Are the designs unique to Kandeely ?
Yes. Kandeely is dedicated to crafting intentional Islamic products. We launched with our own original designs to provide meaningful representation that was previously missing in the diamond art market.

Kandeely is a woman-owned small business founded by Mariam, a mother with a background in psychology. The shop was born during the pandemic out of a desire to find meaningful, faith-inspired activities for families to enjoy at home.
